Wintry January 29th-30th ARCC Slam Dunk Winter Weather Threat

Maybe little extreme lol, but as Storm5 said earlier, anything that falls with temps plunging down, nothin is going away for a while.
 
Backside snow is definitely a legitimate possibility with a front like this that'll be on the leading edge of exceptionally deep & cold air as the PV dives down into the Great Lakes. I wouldn't get caught up in the run-run changes this far out in how much snow for "x" backyard or states, but just recognize this is a legitimate setup to produce some wintry weather for many on the board and has a very strong case to be made despite the fact it's "cold air chasing moisture" granted the cold air is absolutely ridiculous.

This **could** be those rare cases where the air is so cold (for us especially) it squeezes every little bit of moisture out that’s available.
