5 run trend on the GFS

100 hours out and this is the difference from model to model at H5. I give up trying to guess what this is going to do. If it snows, it snows and if it doesn't, it doesn't at this point.

Baby steps at least, a few days ago, the GFS had nothing
nothing drastic here but i would imagine the cmc backs off with this run based on this

CMC trending towards the GFS. Fairly different from 12z. As has been the trend.. northern stream becoming dominant
CMC is da monster
CMC looks more miller Aish this run at H5
actually hang on the cmc might be about to do something crazy

Yep completely ditched the baja low, energy diving in just west of the stovepipe, sharpening up and trying to go Miller a. Still gonna be a banger storm on this run
The GFS isn’t far off from this anymore either compared to the CMC. Thats the very interesting (and almost exciting) part
Low in the center of the GULF .. that’s not going to do it for anyone but coastal regions. What a storm this could be for them

I'm genuinely wondering to what extent to trust the clownishness. We did this in 2017 with the NAM but the NAM became reality. That energy is key and is about 2 days from shore so we're going to see the true correction over the next 3 days. Fingers crossed we see something closer to this and not the super crushed energy.

cut those totals in half and they're still huuuge!
wow this is honestly an amazing image never seen anything quite like it in all my model fantasies. What makes it even more wild is how cold it actually still is despite the low big time cranking so close to the coast

Canada has done a better job sampling this arctic air mass because it's situated over their own territory right now. (That's my hope anyways)

So the first thing strictly from the surface is the Canadian isn't unlike other models with pressure placement. The Low crosses central florida like every other model we've seen but the precip shield is much more robust.The GFS is about a notch or 2 away from the CMC at H5 too.
