Mike Seidel love on Haywood road in Greenville! Looks like a winter wonderland!
 
Once the rates picked up everything got white fast. Even the driveway is getting covered. Temp is down to 26. First hour or so of freezing rain is going to have a lot of accrual.
 
Hearing less pinging on the windows.. checked and we’re starting to get some ZR… the coating of white on the deck is already getting a glaze. The temp is 27, but the dewpoint is still only 21, so there’s still some room to drop
 
ULL is moving due east deep into Alabama. If it’s going to go up the apps, it better make a hard stop and turn NE immediately
 
21 / 14 and a confectionery sugar. Just watched a breeze blow it off the roof in a stream. Streaks on the driveway like it's desert sand.
 
Heavy sleet here at the 39/42 intersection in Johnston County. Looks like that’s the best we will do before switching to rain in a bit. Congrats to all who are racking up the white stuff!

Where temps are in the mid 20’s like DT Greenville back east, it’s still snow. Where temps at in the low 30’s is where you’re seeing sleet mix in.
