Pattern Jammin January 2023

I don't think the final word is in on next Friday yet. There just may be some surprises yet to come... Snow not far away on 12z GFS for northern NC.

no 50/50, no winter weather. The 50/50 brings in the CAA and locks our high pressure in place. Without it, High slides out and even if it was in position is has zero cold air to work with. This has a better chance at severe outside of CAD areas, than snow. For us just get ready for another 40 degree rain.

Canadian does a funky Atlantic loop back SW lol:

heres 12z Ukmet: As far out as I can go. Way futher south than other Global 12z runs today so far and Not to shabby at H5 comparing to last nights stellar Canadian Run. Canadian was off a tick at 12z today compared to its last night run, made big differences down stream in regards to sensible wx for some of our micro climates.

If we were going to get a 50/50 at all, what’s the latest it would show In the models? For instance if we don’t see it showing by Sunday or Monday? Or now?

We're 5days out from the 50/50 low now. If we don't see some serious movement back by 12z tomorrow, it's Toast IMO.

That's mostly because of member 12. Member 12 is on the sauce this morning.View attachment 129539
Several show hits for ma and mountains. For the rest of us we are fighting a losing battle with marginal cold. A real kick in the groin to get this type of track in mid January and it’s rain.
