That's about where Hurricane Hazel hit in 1954. For the really old timers in Eastern North Carolina, Hazel is still the benchmark that hurricanes is measured by.

Agreed...but GEFS has a cluster up that way, and UK led the way for a more eastern track into atlantic.

makes sense, half of it is over land.
My aunt and uncle live in Pelican Bay just north of Naples. Pretty sure their condo is going to get flooded with how it’s looking. What a beast this storm is.
