Well we were going to ski Sapphire valley until I decided against it because come to find out they only have one trail. No thanks. We had already booked the hotel so we’re just going to stay and drive an hour or so to Cataloochee to ski the next morning. First world problems ?‍.

I'm starting to think GFS is so gung-ho about snow around here because it doesn't have the resolution to scour out a small warm layer like the NAM does. GFS is best case scenario where there is no warm nose at the start of the event and a heavy band of precip occurs for a couple of hours near the onset which is why there is snow rather deep into GA. We'll see though.
