TPV shifted SW quite a bit and nudged the ridge west

The retreat of 850’s seems to have halted and come back a hair in the last couple GFS runs 
the ULL (or the energy that becomes it) is trending weaker as it enters the west, don't know whether to be concerned yet or not
Of course with a stronger northern stream trough, the ULL is weaker. Lol

Feels like one of those systems that could blow up the eastern quarter of NC if everything goes right
We have a chance to stay dry! ?? 
favorable suite coming in so far. shows that vort max phasing in from the north may not just be an icon pipe dream. plenty of time for that trend to continue.
gfs will probably go boom just offshore and cmc might be cooking (but still may be too warm, we'll see)
edit- gfs ens show the changes were bonafide, looks like the NE vortex is hanging in longer but the ull energy is coming in weaker. the hustle continues

CMC going for it. Very similar to the ICON. Could be too little, too late though. IDK.

I'm not totally discouraged by this CMC run, it phased a little too late but still brought a little bit of snow south through NC.
