Wintry February 19-21, 2020 Winter Storm

It's interesting though that the GFS doesn't have a warm nose between 780-850 mb like the NAM does, at least where I live. I'd rather have the NAM on my side in this case so I don't know...

I'm starting to wonder if I get a surprise here...that sounding I posted is definitely mixed precip.

The NAM usually does well at sniffing out mid level warm noses, so we should heed its warnings, IMO. I’ve been burned by that too many times.

NAM has been rock steady today. CMC and GFS appear to be trending towards the NAM. Going to be interesting to see what the Euro does.

More westward and north snowfall now with the CMC. I’m liking what I’m seeing hopefully with 3 more days of it. Just hope I don’t run into temp issues.

usually what’s good for me is not good for Charlotte and Raleigh. And what’s usually good for the blue ridge of Virginia is not good for me. I could see this favoring Virginia fwiw.

0z Gefs looks good still. LOL, there are a few spots in central Bama. FWIW

Ah, so now we start to see the nam's slight warning may be a thing.. uh oh.

Really need the bama to overperform and slide East over everyone within 50mi north and south of Charlotte. Need widespread 1-3”+ west to East overrunning special. It’s poss in this setup and has my Attention more than the “sketchy transfer”.
