I wouldn't really call my area in Southern Louisiana as being in a severe drought right now. Most of the local nature trails are waterlogged, and my backyard is still wet. So that's a no from me. My area can take this kind of drought without damaging the local ecosystem. I can't speak for other areas though.

I tend to think of it as longer wavelengths in Jan/Feb compared to Dec/Mar, but others can help us here
Hopefully they get a little longer! I’m tired of these tiny crap waves that turn into nothing burgers… pattern seems loaded with them the last few weeks for our purposes anyways
Kinda looks cold and dry on the GEFS till mid-month. Picks up after that in the SE but that's lala land.
