Yes the weeklies suck , I've never liked and have been trashing them for years. but after that 18z gfs run I needed something to lift my spirits lol

thank God , wxbell has been running it but it's been very limited with data.

Looks like it runs 12z and 00z cycles.

Now we have two gfs runs every other cycle to pick from lol

The 12z GFS Para model is way more extreme with the cold (and drier) than the 12z OP model was.

The pattern evolving really reminds me of Dec 2010. I remember there were a couple of threats that didn't pan out leading up to the Christmas snow. Not saying that will happen again, but this looks really familiar.

I am hopeful, especially up your way for something soon.  Lots of little waves moving through with cold shots will lead to modeling having problems nailing anything outside 3 or 4 days.
