You don’t want this pile of crap digging down into Mexico and hanging out in the SW. it has got to come out and move along with or just behind the northern wave. That’s it.
Looks like the streak of good 12z runs have been broken.

Yes, the 12z CMC is more like it to my thinking.
Perfect low placement for a big storm here in nc on that run on the cmc

Gfs is all by itself now I don’t believe that idea of a cutter.

The GFS is actually colder at the surface in the CAD areas this run.

Yep, last thing we want to see is the GFS showing a snow event over your backyard at day 8.

At least the 12z GFS looks like it might not be much of a winter storm for the Mid Atlantic, ended up worse than the last run winter wise period with this one.
