energy on gfs is weaker this run, so it may not dive south like a more consolidated price would, let’s see what it does

No. There’s not nearly enough cold air. You’d need a much stronger system to pull down that kind of cold

We got the GFS right where we want it 4 days out

Vastly improved. If it could slow down a bit more it would both be more amped and time better with the incoming cold air (associated w/ the N/S). This is dropping light precip across the Carolinas around hour 96 though.
It's amazing how bad the models are at handling moist upglide/advection

Unfortunately you can count on the 540 line to move NW with the precip
Gfs flips winds at sfc and up a few hundred mb to the west and sw Sunday afternoon that's a killer.

Pretty high spread on moisture values on the CoD GEFS members. Some of them have almost no precip, some of them are nice and juicy, some of them come 8-12 hours later.
I’ve seen clippers produce. I wouldn’t totally discount it as a possibility. Like everything else around here, timing timing timing.
We have to get it at night tbh where temps are in the mid/upper 30s, it’s the way

Another nice looking negatively tilted trough but what do you know the deep cold air that was projected the past few days has completely evaporated lol. We just can't have nice things. By the way this chart DOES NOT show snow in upstate SC. I know we have a few folks on here who like that clarification

DP’s are a concern initially but crash pretty quickly. Have to time it up just right and hope there’s moisture to work with. I’ll play.

Yeah for sure, while the gfs/cmc were worse, it’s still workable, we need that N/S injection to, that really helps out, on the CMC
