Of course, we almost never do in these situations. Instead, we get our storms when it’s 34F outside and ground temps are in the mid 50s, and we have to wait 6 hours for the rain/mix to change over to snow, and another 2 hours for it to start sticking. ?Yes it is..... probably frozen for a few inches down. It’s not like snow has never accumulated with the air temperature above freezing…lolIt will be above freezing outside of the mountains.
Something I’ve often observed with clippers this far south is that if you get some precip showing up in NE GA like what the 3kmNAM is showing, things will often overperform a bit in the Carolinas. The precip showing up there is a pretty good sign that the moisture flow up ahead is a bit more robust
