Wintry Dec 8-10th Winter Storm

I wouldn’t expect much more than that . Plus temps are gonna be blazing in the mid to upper 30s . I think there is a lot of false hope being put into the trailing energy and that miraculously temps will be 5-6 degrees colder .

It has snowed with temps in the mid to upper 30s before, not like you need it to be freezing. Not really false hope as much as it is past history.

I'm just saying keep watching the trends .It's not like we are going to see a whole lot of moisture with it, but hey...it's something

I hear you...those temps aren’t going to work without better precip rates though.

Exactly. It’s simply too warm and there is no source for colder air. Stick a fork in it.

I’ve seen snow at 41 degrees , you missed my point . The point is the moisture is gonna be scattered in nature and temps are very warm.

I think expectations are unrealistic because we are jealous of the Carolinas

I guess IF we see anything falls we should count it as a win

If I drew this line, guess who lives like 3 miles SE of it...... Lol I need one more little shift east. Ok I'll stop with the mby stuff... let's keep the trends going. Looking like a major storm for a lot of good people on here, gonna be a fun few days.

Being up near the VA border you get more snow than the rest of us.

850s are slowly moving more south nut not eastward....question is does the WAA continue to decrease with future model trends and the does the low track farther offshore

agreed.....a flurry or convective snow/rain shower or 2 will be a super win....I will tell you that the low levels have a little better chance because that flow is coming off the Carolinas and fresh snow pack.

I have a feeling Frosty isn’t going to be happy when he wakes up in Mount Airy, NC!

Exactly and we should try our best to be realistic here. Again there will be other opportunities. Atlanta should be grateful to avoid ZR this time as well!
