Wintry Dec 8-10th Winter Storm

That's what i was thinking. I mentioned this yesterday talking about a long shot of break off pockets of a column capable of supporting snow and It looks like it very well may happen.
Those cold pockets on the NAM might be on to something. Would be a nice surprise for sure if it was more snow!

That moisture coming has to be snow. These ULL bring their own cold. I imagine a lot of it is snow. But who knows.

Nam is all snow here through 15z sunday. Probably a good 3-7 inch event for the area.

I think I could end up with 5 to 8 of snow and some freezing rain/sleet on top.

If I drew this line, guess who lives like 3 miles SE of it...... Lol I need one more little shift east. Ok I'll stop with the mby stuff... let's keep the trends going. Looking like a major storm for a lot of good people on here, gonna be a fun few days.

And the trends are encouraging .let's keep that going. Lol

Ok NAM....been trending better and better with this ULL......now closes a weak 850 low over SGA .2m temps are like 33-35 I would argue that might be enough for snow. Trends are interesting for that one .
Same thing I am saying

Yeah it seems like it would be more snow than modeled but we’ll have to wait and see.

12z NAM soundings for CHA supports snow from 9z to 18z tomorrow, barely. Granted it would be a sloppy, wet, melting snow in the valleys but given it's early December, I'll take it, and I'll buy it. Elevations above 1800' and especially the Cumberland Plateau may be in for a quite the surprise as around 1/2" of modeled precip falls during that timeframe.

Not as much moisture associated with the trailing energy as I thought there would be. Very convective in nature it seems.

I wouldn’t expect much more than that . Plus temps are gonna be blazing in the mid to upper 30s . I think there is a lot of false hope being put into the trailing energy and that miraculously temps will be 5-6 degrees colder .

If models are off with temp profiles across NGA, there may be more ice than what they are showing now. Some areas are right on the edge.

Allan also said it looks like less freezing rain and more snow/sleet.
