And the thing is, it going to trend colder as we get close to this time frame. Atlanta might be in play...definitely NE Atlanta and Northeastward I- 85 special.
Low position is garbage. It’s trying to give the Miller B lovers a shred of hope but I don’t like it. However, it’s hard to ignore a trend like this.

With the Temps it likely is overdone so I'd knock those totals down to no more than 20% of what's shown and that could even be too generous.Yikes. Lights out.

Only thing is not much support, CMC is warm and north, ICON was way colder but not cold enough, that would be a bonus if anything, since that’s the table setter

I'd love to see a massive storm like this immediately upstream to our north. Putting a glacier there keeps these arctic air masses from modifying anywhere near as quickly on their way south (esp for CAD setups), putting us in a great position as we close in on Christmas

Yeah we’ll see. The gfs is really the only model showing this. It’s not a very good model so I don’t believe it until it gets some support

That’s hard to ignore, GEFS/GFS trending to phasing TPV/energy the right way to allow a bomb off the eastern US which means more CAA on the backside of it

More big improvements on the 00z gfs all inside 200 hours. This is the most aggressive and the deepest I've seen the gfs take this first batch of cold air across our area. Again the gfs is finally catching onto this major blocking. The upslope action would be a foot plus in favored areas on this run.
Wow I have been noticing that GEFS ensembles have had a few very icy solutions (1 or 2 per the last several runs) for our table setter.. I figured we will probably just trend to a pretty cold rain.. but boy what a wake up call.
