Pattern Dazzling December

End of ICON run at day 7

I spy with my little eye .. a piece of TPV diving south with ridging building above it ❣️

Absolutely love this trend. Connecting/ phasing some Arctic energy in Canada to our big cutoff means a stronger cutoff and and longer lasting deep cold low over the Eastern US-great lakes, this allows more Arctic cold air to funnel in as well View attachment 125495
Lotta good stuff in there Fro....I like the ridging going up there E of Hudson Bay and the evolution to the nice ridge off BColumbia

I love looking at the 700mb temps to be able to see the general flow of the temperatures above and below a little better visually. You can see where this is going .. might even squish the next storm View attachment 125496
You are still Day 10+ with an Op, interesting solution but a far cry from verification.

I mean, honestly this is way off in voodoo land and can and probably will change, but to get this mean for Pete’s sake at 330hrs there has to be a ton of agreement. Now they can all be wrong together but I don’t think I’ve never seen the cold air dumped to our side of the world like this.

Agree and the operational Euro is showing the same trend.

Not all of this will actually fall. Not all of this will still be on the ground. And with a little luck, perhaps we can extend this SE a bit. But, I'd say the N. American snowpack will be mighty healthy ahead of any artic intrusions that come near and beyond Christmas.

Man thats impressive..dont recall seeing that kind of snow in December ever! With incoming artic air should make for some nice temp profiles for incoming waves..good times

If we can build that snow pack over MO, TN and KY that would be huge.
