I agree it looks like it should be more snow farther southeast. I'm still learning and playing with this model, and when I saw the precip type play out, I expected a lot more farther south and east. Maybe someone else can explain that.I'm confused then. How does it show this ptype?

While I don’t put much stock in the GFS actually being right, maybe this trend will continue a few more runs to give us an absolute nutso run before probable collapse.
Oh wow, are you referring to the Baja low? Great catch, I hadn’t noticed it even thought about that feature.

12z Rgem looks like it's flipped towards the GFS with respect to the split vortex up in canada. Expecting big changes on the CMC.
RGEM did the same last night and the CMC didn’t budge
Just once in my life, I want to see that thing kick and phase(in reality) and just watch the complete upheaval it would bring especially only five days out.

Not surprised, I think we are seeing an evolution to agreement between the model suites which will end up with a strong cutter before the cold can get established. We need to see the EURO start keying in on the 26-27th time frame as a possible snow event for the SE soon. Looking at the teleconnections this morning, in 10-15 days we lose the strongly -AO, -EPO, to neutral to positive, a weaker -NAO but a neutral to slightly positive PNA. Let's see how this progresses for the week between Christmas and New Years week
Weenie run may be incoming. Shortwave is farther south and souther wave is slightly east.

Good luck though we’ve been trying to turn that frog into a princess for years with no luck, when I croak and I get shown my “life stats” one category is going to be “time spent trying to will a Baja low into something productive” and it’s going to be very embarrassing because they almost never budge and break in our favor.

My attitude is that this was never really our storm to begin with and the weenie runs were on the far southeastern side of the periphery, going to be a lot more miffed if the 26th ends up off to sea or smoke and mirrors
Still cuts, but there’s a lot more wraparound snow on the backside for TN/northern MS/AL/GA.LOL. The model has just done it. Where it goes from here???

I'm confused then. How does it show this ptype?
Sorry for the confusion. I slept in this morning so couldn’t manually clear the old run’s files from the server, so the new run kinda meshed together on the displays. It’s something I need to automate. I went ahead and removed the old run’s files and so it’s only the new run on there now.

Gfs is still giving the midsouth some backside snow showers. All I ever expected anyways. Memphis is still in a pretty good spot attm.

I just hope the GFS ends up faster and more east with the cold push in future runs, I don't care about the storm at this point.
Honestly, looking at the GFS, I’m fairly confident something pops in the 25-27th time frame.
What time frame this is for??
