I've been playing around with maps with python data. I know very little, but would be a cool idea to work on.
Also, Tomer Burg who plots the John's Hopkins maps, has the python file on GitHub, if somebody could figure out how to edit it, or find a data source, we could plot school closings. https://github.com/tomerburg/COVID-19

I applied today for an absentee ballot. Not only would it keep me from having to wait in line, it would protect me from being around potential carriers. I wonder if the GA primary and others should be postponed, Opinions?

Currently, we have one student who has self-quarantined after being seen at the Health Center presenting symptoms prompting a test to determine if the symptoms are related to COVID-19. The sad fact us after the first week of mayhem and people realize that a healthy person up until 50 has an almost zero chance of dying, many will go back to not caring which is when this could rapidly infect nursing homes and senior citizens.

Read some things about flu deaths and found this to be very interesting read that basically shows that flu deaths ( actual flu deaths ) are way overstated in the US and most other countries....its always flu and pneumonia but most are pneumonia and then most of the pneumonia cases are not linked to the flu...so those 30-60k flu deaths every year are really mostly pneumonia and most of the pneumonia cases are not linked to the flu....

Regarding the whole panic is bad mentality. I say this. Panic can be a problem and can lead to things like economic slowdowns and burdensome closures.
