Lots of people out and about here as well, really this week has not felt that different from any other week outside of not being able to go and sit in a restaurants and not being able to find any damn toilet paper.
it's what happens when there is a sudden spike in reported cases in the neighborhood, I guess ...

Despite the deaths 99% of people getting this survive. That's a huge deal and it's easy to fixate on the death and mayhem. People will find a way to get by. Treat your neighbors as friends and family, buy a local restaurants curbside meals if you have the means. We are going to get through this and we can get through it easier and with less stress if we focus on what's good and right and less about the craziness going on. Its unprecedented times we are in. We can make it intolerable or we can come together and remind ourselves theres still good people all over the world.
Some people thrive on and migrate towards misery and negativity. Thats there way of coping I guess. I cant understand it for the life of me but im still trying to adjust again to life outside of a warzone

From the homefront ...

Alachua County now has 21 confirmed-positive COVID-19 cases, and local officials say there’s no question but that the cases are being transmitted through the community — not just by travelers.

“We are assuming that we have community transmission,” an Alachua County government news release said Saturday. “At this point, whether it is travel-related or community transmitted is not pertinent as all cases are equally dangerous.”

The county’s cases are among the 658 current total of cases statewide. There were 138 new cases Saturday from Friday’s morning count.

Been busy handing out food today.
Love those Bs Barbecue stories. Been there a many a times.

Smoking 2 Butts in the morning, while having church at the house with the ole familia!

Toliet Paper update local. Neighborhood walmart has 3 skids coming in tonight. Opens at 8 I beleive. 1 pack per customer is the rule. Only meat was bacon, sausage ,frozen Turkeys and spiral hams. Grabbed a spiral ham for mid week. Gonna freeze some of the babrbecue tommorow.
God bless the pig lol. Gonna thaw out some pork ribs late week. Grabbed a bag of spuds. Suprised there was only 6 or 7 bags left. The ceral isle was decimated as well along with the noodle isle.

This is just a few of the points Senator Jeff Jackson made for distribution across the various subreddits that are in NC.

A lot wrong with that. 1, the site has a heavy skew to the left for bias, and also has poor fact reporting, so it's likely garbage. 2, the title is a joke in itself. Top secret and looking into it is nothing but clickbait. I advise not looking at garbage such as this. 3. This is just hysteria generating, which is irresponsible of anyone.

Is Newsweek not a reputable source?

99% of it is garbage. There is always a contingency plan. The names? OMG.....LOLOL

The company I work for is HQ in Ilinois. They are shutting down that state today with the same number of cases as GA and half the deaths. It begins in 15 mins.

Pharmacies, banks, groceriesetc. open.

Those are not specific contingencies for this scenario, they're contingencies.

Newsweek is trash and the article's slant towards implying these contingencies will be needed is obvious.

Plans are just that, plans.

Of course anything "could" happen but we don't need excessive fear-mongering.

My city ordered all indoor non-essential businesses to close beginning midnight today. Still not shelter in place but that takes a big bite out of everything.

A lot of my last few meals have been backup plans, but they've been good. The crock pot'd Boston Butt was good (I had talked about that plan earlier), and today was pasta, sausage that was from Alabama, and cooked prego sauce spread on top of it.

We're gonna go to the Carolina Bay Nature Preserve on Monday, and might try regardless of what they say (unless outside areas are closed). A friend's coming along with us unless something changes in the wording of recent government releases.

Alexander City has had a positive covid test. Said his wife had tested positive for the flu and he got sick with flu like symptoms. He was vomiting bad and couldnt keep anything down so they took him to the DR. Tested negative for flu but positive for Covid. He is recovering. This thing can have so many different symptoms

For those in NC, I was just declared an “Emergency worker” and have to keep documents in my dash with my work badge starting Monday. Does this mean lock down is coming? I commute i77 I highly doubt they can control that...

Senator Jackson responded to my question about schools and he said it’s a 75% chance that they won’t return until August.
