Thanks sir!! 43 is towards Kinston, correct?

No this is on the north side of town.....so towards Rocky Mount/Tarboro.....also if your not there before 12 noon you wont get nada....

Now I am gonna have to get Parkers when I get off work....also like Shaggy said those with the means to do so should support these local businesses who are facing possible loss of their livelihood....

If I read the article on CNN correctly, NY and LA are either only testing patients in th hospital or are going to start doing that because of lack of PPE. If that’s correct, wouldn’t that mean numbers coming from those areas will only be hospitalized people, as both of those locations are shelter in place or lockdown. They said more testing would resume after the peak. Sorry I couldn’t tag the link, its on the cnn live updates section.

Appreciate the info.

So I just read about "#boomer remover". This is an absolute disgrace, and anyone using it should be ashamed of themeselves. I do not understand the disdain for the boomers, from the younger generations to begin with, but talk about being insensitive and self-centered! ?
Speaking in generalities and broadly because are always a-holes out there... Because the boomers always talk crap about the younger generations (mostly millennials) and appear insensitive and self-centered themselves. It makes no sense, because they, along with gen x, raised millennials so they helped create what they see as a problem ? But if you look at where we are right now, the majority of jobs in the spotlight such as grocery store managers, service industry, etc. are millennials and they are doing whatever they can to keep people in jobs, and make sure the elderly get food, so not sure why they still complain. Hence the Boomer Remover #.

Made first grocery trip in 5 days this morning. (Harris Teeter at 98 and old creedmoor) Fun stuff.

Got there just in time for chicken unloaded. I grabbed one pack of 8 chicken breasts. The guy behind me grabbed 6 of the remaining packs. (thats 48 for you that ain't good at math) And was able to sneak out the self checkout before the clerks started enforcing 2 packs per person. That guy is the poster child of what's causing bare shelves.

Also, tater tots were out except for 'veggie' tots. At least people are still a little picky.

Nothing is shut down around my area. HD was packed. All stores are open. Feels like a normal Saturday.

This is blood on Governor Kemps hands. The Amercian people are too arrogant to take this serious. We're probably passed the point of no return with this thing. Not sure why I'm surprised, guess just disappointed. Everyone would rather work on that home project (I'd really like to also) than slow the spread of a pandemic virus. SMDH
Only the gov can shut things down, slow the spread and save lives. Americans, especially Southerners, won't.

Edit: and for those asking. This is why they are calling it boomer remover. You've got the same attitude about this as global warming. Don't shoot the messenger.

Honestly no one knows how all of this is going to play out. Rumors will always be around. Misinformation will always be around. Do I trust what the govt says. No way. See gov of NY. Said he would not close down the state. Bottom line is this is probably going to get worse before better. Financially this is going to hurt me and a lot of people. The longer this goes on the closer we get to a depression. No one can say that is not a possibility. Yes govt sending checks will help but will it really pay the bills? To think we could not have a society breakdown is also putting blinders on. Yesterday a dollar general truck driver was mugged when unloading in Jackson TN. So now their hours are already cut more and limiting amount of people in store. I would imagine their are pockets like this around the US. The longer this goes on the more pockets will develop like this. Kinda like the virus. When money starts drying up for families and hunger sets in it will not be pretty. Martial law right now I say no but if this goes on for sometime. I would bet it will happen. One thing is we will all be changed forever. Hopefully in a good way. Not taking freedom for granted along with food and having enough money to survive and living another day. I think that’s a good thing. I am ready for this to be over as we all are. My advice is just listen to all you hear and one does not have to believe it but tuck it away and remember to expect the unexpected.

Mugged ?? WTF every store around here has TP , PT and hand sanitizer. DG, Lowe’s , Publix and Walmart all have it . The supply is 100 percent catching up to the demand in Birmingham now that stores are setting limits as to how much you can buy

Looks like Alabama got it under control a lot faster than at least parts of Georgia then, as I don't think my area has it under control right now. Maybe during the next deliveries they will start controlling it. Dollar General said they get their delivery of toilet paper on Thursday mornings and my dad will go that morning next week to see if he can get some. Maybe they place in limits then...who knows.

You don’t need to get TP. No symptoms of this virus requires TP.

Well there's a lot I could say in response here but I don't want to get the thread too off topic. I can understand the "generation gap" (and some tension, which always happens b/w generations), but this hashtag is just completely out of line. Just seems the millennials, a generation that prides themselves on love and humanism, might want to rethink that a bit, as it comes across as antithetical. Having an older generation "talk crap about the yonger generations" is not a justification to mock or celebrate the deaths of the older.

I took the trash to the area trash dump and the guy working there said someone hopped their fence stole their hand sanitizer and TP out of the port-a-jon.

Crazy times.

It's out in the area despite that. Although I haven't seen or heard about other stores yet (last one I heard about was a couple days ago and that was kind of a specialty store so they probably didn't have much in the way of TP or hand sanitizers), the fact that I'm bordering a rural area and the nearby Dollar General is still out as of early today on TP leads me to think that much of the county is probably out.

Dumb, I know, but still.

We're out of TP which is why I'm saying we need it. All of the stores that my parents have been able to go to for over a week now I believe are out. In fact, I was one of the ones that said the reason that you'll likely see limits maybe as soon as during the next deliveries, my dad talked to someone at Walgreens, and they said that someone in a big truck came and bought all their toilet paper, then took off.

If you live in a neighborhood and have a neighborhood Facebook page I offer this suggestion. We are doing a neighborhood scavenger hunt. People are placing items in or around their yards in easy to spot locations. If families need some outside time they can walk or drive around the neighborhood with the kids to spot all the items.

Lol you put things outside in my subdivision, it will disappear.

Actually it does. Apparently diarrhea is an early symptom for some. Now buying the amounts being bought is ridiculous. Supplies will catch up no doubt but money is a different story.

Totally agree, we are supporting local business as long as we can (now can you ship me an order of those cornbread sticks please, TIA!)

I understand what you're saying but I think it's a tongue-in-cheek #. You can only hear so many jokes about yourself before you come up with one about the other person. And on that note, the older generation in my sm feeds seem hell bent on killing themselves. People I know and love in the 60+age set posting that they are just going to to keep living their lives and showing pictures of themselves out and enjoying no crowds. They are the only age group between my friends and family at least in Georgia and Tennessee openly bragging and who just dgaf.
