Arctic April

Keep a close eye on the tail end of this bowing segment in southern Granville County, you can sometimes get brief spin-up tornadoes &/or gustnadoes where there’s a lot of horizontal shear created by differential flow speeds in close juxtaposition to the cold pool of a strong thunderstorm.

KRAX picking up on winds of over 70 mph entering western Franklin county about 1000 feet off the surface. Wouldn’t take much to mix those to the ground

Obviously it’s out there around day 10 (and the gfs) but I would keep an eye out for another severe weather event next weekend.View attachment 38722
Hopefully this is the patter we’re hesding toward. So ready for a good chase. Been working so much have t had time to post much lately. Sorry . But I’m getting stoked at pattern after brief cool spell

Crazy! A huge gust of wind blew and every single person on my street's recycling bin fell over! Trash flew all over the street and into yards in which everybody went out to pick it up. Our next-door neighbor's umbrella flew off her table in onto our yard. Keep in mind that we have a tall fence and yards are far apart. I'm guessing these were 50-60 mph winds, yet there was no rain out. Although it was nice to see some other people's faces.

Edit: I just checked the readings at the airport and gusts were at 58 mph

That storm that came through here was a big one. Heavy rain, hail, and lots of wind. Blew over my recycling bin and threw stuff everywhere. Had a large limb fall in my backyard. I saw on Facebook where a pine tree was blown down in someone's yard in town.
