Took this pic a little while ago here in W-S

That actually looks like a rain or possibly a hail shaft, with small-medium sized stones melting before reaching the ground. It also may be remnants (or beginnings of) a shelf cloud that accompanies cool, dry outflow from underneath a thunderstorm

So much for the slight risk in NC based off the hrrr tomorrow, it’s truly hard to get storms near CLT and get a simple lightning pic, BL just to mixed out

I think there gonna be isolated in nature. But also what develops will be pretty strong

Had my first decent little storm today. Solid shelf and a 20 minute period gusting to 30 or so. My parents about 10 miles east of me had hail for 5 to 10 minutes.

I know we all are wanting some warm weather this month and plus to kill this virus, but gfs looks pretty cold for April.

This looks more legit tbh on Wednesday, EML advection to prevent boundary layer mixing which means better CAPE, also better low level shear, and a boundary from a MCS up north entering this environment

I actually like cooler than normal spring weather. I'll take whatever nice weather I can get before the extended summer starts. So I'm excited to see GFS with the cool trends.
