44/36 with clear skies. We might not keep out of the 20s the way we are dropping.
Ended up hitting 33 with a moderate frost.

33 with frost this morning
33.0 lots of roof frost not much ground frost. Light breeze and recent heavy rain might have been enough to keep ground frost down thankfully

There were many locations at or below freezing across central NC this morning. RDU hit 32 and other places made it into the upper 20s. There is a potential for a repeat of some freezing temps late next week, but the farther we get into April the harder it will be to achieve.

I forgot to pull my ornamental pepper in until midnight and it got nipped good. All the fruit blooms look good.

My centipede grass in my front yard got frosted last night its all black, less than ideal
RDU got down to 32 this morning, so it looks April 11th will be the season's final freeze after not having a freeze since March 8th. April 11th is actually pretty late for the last freeze, generally.
GFS has really been starting to warm up the long range 
This the next possible severe weather threat, been seeing this one pop on OPs, has that look that would support larger amounts of instability

Just for the fun of it looking beyond on the gfs the pacific is basically a wave train for the last part of the month from the looks of it. Could be a couple severe events left, but obviously that could change.
Covered my raised garden beds, but my centipede grass, which had just started turning green, took it hard.

Euro has shifted towards SE ridging now late this week from the trough it was showing

Yeah if I’m not mistaken the Nashville/cookeville TN tornado happened with a flat look at H5, flat flow at H5 can actually be more favorable tbh, don’t gotta worry about extreme forcing either
As was the Lee county EF4 last year. This sounding is for near BHM. A more organized system with these background numbers right here and it is a high impact event.
