Looks like Hillary has a chance to be the first tropical system to landfall on the US west coast in over 80 years.

Yeah besides the Gulf next week I'm very skeptical of anything from the east. Hillary is definitely the show otherwise which is beginning to look very impressive today

Agree 100%. The more noise the higher the chances of at least something. The eps is also active which only increases the potential IMO.

Patience grasshoppers! Conditions in the Atlantic basin are not favorable to say the least for tropical development through the weekend at least. The Sahara dust that's flying around out there is supposed to slacken up next week. If something does pop up next week it will have to fight wind shear but at least the air will moisten up enough to give something a fighting chance to develop.

At least there are 2 things to watch on the euro. The low north of PR seems to be stuck and it doesnt happen often for a storm to cross over into the GOM but at least its more than the GFS shows.

It would have to be very active period to cool that hot tub off but yea the warm water isn’t the great factor some thought it would be. Shear and dry air is winning out.

I am watching the cane east of the bahamas the euro is showing. GFS shows something but isnt as enthusiastic. Its all we have so its worth a look
