Widespread 70’s possible for the southeast on the first day of meteorological winter. Got to love wasting cold air before winter lol

I see the warm weather posters are active again with this cold spell about to end for a little while. Hope they enjoy it.

Hey warm weather gets me excited :). These cold dry days with no precip are the worst

Everybody freaking out because there's not snow storms on the models and we're only at the mid to late part of November. Anything in December is a bonus. Things don't start going till January in most places. Some of the you are just giving yourself anxiety for no reason.

Exactly my thoughts. We've been below normal most of November so expect the opposite for part of December. Then get some +pna in Jan and Feb..thats our climo prime anyway. So cliff divers in Nov is plum stupid imo

We probably need an above normal December to make sure that we have a better chance at colder than normal January. We all know it's not going to be cold for 3 months straight. Rather it be cold in January than in December.

Not me. I'd rather it be cold in December than any other month. For one, to make it feel and look more like Christmas. A lower sun angle also helps the snow stick around longer. Sun angle is pretty low for at least the first 3 weeks of January but by late January the sun angle is increasing pretty rapidly.

Hey big guy, heard you got lost doing circles around 485 once! Now how on earth do you get lost in a circle ?
I got In on the wrong end , and I don’t know my way around CLT unless it was off 85 or 29
Just in unfamiliar territory, and I still made it ! I met two living legends! The one and only Griteater and Cold_Rain himself! They are awesome dudes!

This whole idea of we need a warm December to get a cold January/February is nonsense. It could very well stay cold if it was meant to stay cold. Just like it could very well be warm in December and stay warm in January and February. I don’t see any reason to believe otherwise.

What winter do you know of that was below average for 3 months straight? The law of averages always wins.

Enjoy your weather, cause it’s the only weather you got!

I want to go to St Lucia. Who wants to contribute to my vacation fund? I think $5000 will cover it.
Wait for the Christmas drawing! You never know! ???

I’m not worried about anything. I’m just posting what I’m seeing on the models. There has most definitely been a trend for warmer than average weather thanksgiving through the first couple weeks of December. We will have too see how long the -PNA lasts. I think it will be right around Christmas week.

Not sure how long you've been in Anderson SC but can you remember how many measurable snows you've had in November and Decembet?
I know here in Oconee I can count on 1 hand the measurable snow we've had in those months in 46 years(moved here when I was 4)

That's impressive that you've only had 1 measurable snow in December in 46 years. In North GA there was measurable snow in December 1997, 2000, 2010, 2017 just to name a few.
