Misc 2021 Spring/Summer Whamby Thread

I’ve had stomach and abdominal issues for the last 4-5 weeks. Pretty sure I either have an ulcer or worse. The doctor said it could be Pylori but idk. Funny how since I turned 30, every time something hurts on my body I assume the worst. I’ve been scarred ever since my grandpa thought he had diverticulitis in 2015. He went to the hospital with abdominal discomfort and was told after a CT scan that he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He died a week later. Toughest man I ever knew and he didn’t stand a chance.

My professor was taking today about how he had a student who wanted to be a meteorologist, but was really bad at math. He barely graduated and flunked out of his first meteorology class. Then he shifted to Political Science the next semester, and got honor role.

I couldn’t help but relate that story to some of the folks here. Any other interesting college stories?

Wait that’s actually me ... I mean I pass any class related to meteorology but I CANT pass high level math or science classes (u know the physics and calcs) I’m still trying slowly and surely but It’s tough and it’s only putting me through a world of stress.. all I wanna do is warn people about the weather inform the public on what’s coming .. maybe storm chase eventually ... in no way am I going to need to use any of that bs when I’m doing that ... frustrating to say the least

Sorry to hear this but even at my young age I have this extreme fear something like that could happen to me .. cause I’ve always heard it to be so random and out of the blue... I try to listen to my body all the time and if something doesn’t feel right I go and check it out .. I also try and stay working out on a semi regular basis and try to keep my mental health in check along with regulating the food I eat ... I know long term these things can have huge effects and take a toll on the body .. all I can do is listen to what my body is telling me and hope for the best (also just started getting my blood tested which I’ll probably do yearly now just to make sure u know)

I’m getting my entire colon removed more than likely this week .

This Er Is crazy . I was in a stretcher meant for a damn 10 year old boy for over 13 hours before at 2 am they finally moved me to a decent room ! Oh they have no pillows in the ER either . Even the room I’m in now is temporary .
 
Getting old sucks. That’s why I’ve changed my way of life in the past year. Spend more time with your kids, stop saying no you don’t want to do that or go there. If you want to do something do it! I was planning to retire to the beach but hell why wait? Tomorrow isn’t Guaranteed so live for today. Be happy and stop complaining about things that don’t effect yourself family or life. Rant over.
Note* these pain killers are fantastic!!!!

Pancreatic cancer is some crazy stuff. Probably my biggest Fear. And yes once you turn 30 it goes all down hill.
