First things I notice about the weather down here in Fort Lauderdale: It's surprisingly mild and not as hot today, and the humidity is low. But the sun is incredibly strong. Stronger than the sun in Ocean City, Maryland in June.

I drove to the everglades this morning and saw a couple 'gators. This summer will be a true test of how well I can endure the heat and humidity down here, having already endured Delmarva peninsula summers.
After living in Delmarva, I would think that would acclimate you well for summer there. The kicker will be how long SFL summers are..

But I think your biggest obstacle to overcome will be the intensity of the sun. As many here know, I grew up there. 2-3 years ago took the wife down there to where I grew up. She thought that since she can handle the sun here in NC, that she could handle it there too. I tried to warn her...

The intensity of the sun makes a huge difference. 90 with a dp of 70 will feel much better in Michigan than in Florida due to the much lower sun angle.

Sun down there peaks at 88 vs 78 here . Atlanta lucky enough to peak over 80. Up in the delmarva they peak at 75 or so. Your wife from Wisconsin I think you said , so where she is from peak summer angle is a mere 69-70.

Actually Atlanta peaks right under 80 at about 79.7.

Also , I was fishing like 10 min and the damn warden showed up!! Never been checked in 40 years in NC/SC. Just got my license the day before and son didn’t have his ID card, he’s 14, so didn’t need a license. Fun explains that he’s only 14 and is as big as me

I'm gonna be a doordasher.. this is gonna be interesting. No schedule no annoying boss :p and everyone talks about how much they make. I'm not sure what the downside is ? I've been interested in doing this back to when I was still in Texas and it finally happened

I'm keeping my regular job for now(luckily I have the two busiest days Friday and Saturday off for it that was a big reason why I started on it) but I'm really really curious to see how much I can make

Nope, you're right. But she's been in NC for 10+ years now.

That sun just absolutely destroys your vehicles. From the plastics on the dash to the paint on the roof and hood.
