And I’m back home. They started up the first truck series heat at 5pm and they got so caked with mud that one lap in they had to red flag it. Started raining, now the cup race is at 4pm tomorrow and trucks at 9pm. Weather tomorrow looks good hoping to go back!
Did you stop and see Dolly?

I have some not so fond memories of some severe weather events in May 1999 and again in May 2000; I distinctly remember lightning just missing my house as it hit less than 100 feet away; and one that brought a tornado that went right over me, but didn't touch down.

Well, even though plant cells are naturally hypotonic, but there's always "too much." I would hypothesize that the evaporation from the concrete would lead them to move towards it as they do the sun. If they get too much water, they will undergo cytolysis, which leads the cells to burst. Try to be more careful with the proportion. Unless you're in a drought, I think it would be a fun experiment to water them as often as it rains w/ the total precipitation.

I definitely remeber the period from the mid 90s to the mid 2000s being intense for severe weather across all of the eastern/central US.

Then the solar minimum happened...

Bingo. Global cooling is happening and will pick up and be noticeable to us the next 10 - 15 years . Next 20-40 years will be a period marked by general strife . War, plague , and famine , not too dissimilar to previous centuries and a shock to modern society who thinks we have left these ailments behind us. Average lifespan for the poor and middle class will even go backwards ( already happening in America last 5 years, middle aged people life span is down) while soaring for the rich as anti aging therapies become more mainstream ( they already exist actually ). Combined with burgeoning inequality , the weakening of western society , and increasing automation humanity faces a crossroads . Either we prevail through our hard work in science , politics , and humanities to bring about the change we need or we will fail . I think we will fail.
