Breaking an all time December high is big news anywhere it would seem. It says this is Iowa? We’ve seen a lot of weather extremes or I should say records broken these last two to three years.

Probably due to the grand solar minimum we are entering. We are fortunately going to be sheltered from the worst of it in the southeast. Maybe we can eek out a little snow storm or two before it's all over?

During the little ice age the se was actually a tad warmer . It was like a 200 year long La Niña. Of course that meant it was also drier and more prone to extreme cold snaps .
