Not down our way. I left the house and headed east on I459, when I turned onto I65N I started seeing accumulation in the Hoover/Vestavia area. As I got onto Lakeshore I started seeing several inches everywhere but on the roads.

Yeah your area of metro Birmingham is lower elevation. I just didn't realize it was that much of a difference when it came to the type of precip

These temps lately have sure been weird.

Glad it's going to cool down soon as since I'm not adjusted to the 80s, that feels hot.

Dude relax, I never said anything about Trump, I didn't go there you did. I know many Biden supporters who admit he struggles through those pressers, if you can't see that than you are not open to any truth whatsoever.

Some pretty remarkable and glaring stats from GSP this met winter. There are no below freezing temps in the 2 week forecast, GSP has not been below 50 degrees since the 21st, and has not had a high below 50 since 2/7. Since Dec 1st; GSP has only recorded 20 days with a high below 50 and only 2 below 40 (38,36). No daily highs below freezing, or even close. By contrast, today is the 14th day in met winter with highs above 70, and 10 nights with the low above 50!! There have only been 44 nights reaching 32 or below and only 1 night below 20 (18).

This immediately me think of 2011-2012 so I looked at it. By comparison for GSP, there were only 15 days with highs below 50 and only 1 below 40, with no highs below freezing. On the flip side, there were only 4 days reaching 70 or higher that winter. There were only 25 nights reaching freezing, and only 1 below 20 (19).

This winter had more "extremes" (nights below freezing and highs above 70) but the averages are only .6 off; 47.1 2011-2012 compared to 46.5 for this year.

Very little cold making it into the upstate this year, even compared to one of our all-time warmest. The one difference was the well-timed Jan system delivering a nice snowfall to the upstate while 11-12 was the only year in history GSP failed to record a trace.
 
I don't really mind the 70 degree weather, it's the 80s+ this early that I do.

Today feels better and it's partially because of it that I thought about going to a park, which I should have pulled the trigger, as I'm not really doing anything at all...lol.

Do you like to do some of your regular walks at that park you linked us to yesterday? That looked very inviting and it showed walking trails.

I actually haven't been there in a while, but I was thinking about going there early this afternoon, and I should have because I ended up doing nothing today outside of just sit around.

I had intended on studying but studying turned into sit and do nothing outside of a 20-minute span for me.

I mostly just walk at home, but that is a really nice park to go to to get your mind off anything else for a while.

Yes! Northern High Point a few miles east of the airport. Got about 6.5” of heavy, wet snow. My recollection is temperatures were in the 50s with full sunshine just hours before the snow started, but it was really heavy and started falling late in the evening.
