Misc 2020/21 Fall and Winter Whamby Thread

Just your usual day, where the higher up in elevation you are and further west you are the warmer it is. The lower elevations are colder .... must be nice 60s all over the mountains . Last few days and next few look weird as crap . Not a normal pattern really , the further NE you are the colder . Normally it’s further west but ---- out of whack.
 
Back in the 80s, tonight’s setup would’ve yielded 8-12” across central NC EASY, with rain changing to 2-4” of snow as far south as Orangeburg, SC. Things just don’t work like they used to.

We used to have high pressure systems that helped us...not ones way up north of Minnesota.

Haha! That's funny, but often or several times it did seemed to work out in that manner.
