Absolutely agree! It was ‘94 for me at 6 years old.

December of 2005 was a bad ice storm at my house at the time. February 2014 we dodged a bullet, got a mix of sleet and freezing rain. There were some really bad ones in the eighties but I don't remember them all.

You don't, lol. Especially when you only have Summer tires (which is what people down south typically have).

In fact, as much experience as I have driving in snow, I very little to none when it comes to ice.

Looking out a bit, the EURO and GFS say the -AO is about to go bye bye. If it goes you can bet it will take the -NAO with it. The one dead constant teleconnection for this winter has been a -PNA and all three models show it staying that way indefinitely

I give this winter an A for me. Above normal snow with 4 of those inches of snow coming on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. Not to mention that it’s actually overall felt like a winter season. Any more cold and or snow is icing on the cake for the rest of feb and into March for me.

I’ve never been one to doubt the -NAO .. well this year at least... it’s been constant and it got us in this whole mess anyway.. let’s see what else it can do for us later

Last night's walk featured pretty dense fog at the park. Fog is pretty cool to experience, especially when it cuts visibility to the point of not being able to see across the entire park.

First , your time scale is off . The level of cold Dallas is getting is considerably more extreme than that. Second we aren’t wasting anything, we don’t need a record breaking arctic front to snow . Just a regular one.

True! PV’s often obliterate our snow chances. Also we really aren’t in a perfect set up with the MJO and a weekly negative NAO.

Worst winter by far in the 8 years I've lived here.

I think i have to agree here. Last year was much warmer for sure, but we don't get our hopes up when it's 50+ for snow. This year however, so many 32 and 33 and rains this year. With the -NAO of our dreams finally here and all it gave us was a big bag a Blah... and now it won't even let us enjoy the little warm ups between fronts as we're stuck in this never ending CAD.
