Going to be a long weekend at work !I'm gonna be so ready when this next 5 days or so is over ?
You ain’t ready for the carnage afterwards . Millions of dollars in damages and a death toll. Agriculture is about to take a big hit, everybody’s steak prices about to go up up up , wheat as well so bread and other products . Also get ready for spring because half of what’s in Dallas will be dead and not bloom this spring . This is why I generally don’t root for this level of cold . You can enjoy cold temps without it ever getting that brutal.I'm gonna be so ready when this next 5 days or so is over ?
If I could just get a week of winter like weather in winter I would call it a win and want 70's for the rest of winter. Sadly that doesn't happen here hahaha. Enjoy your winter weather! I'm happyI'm gonna be so ready when this next 5 days or so is over ?
I’ve lived in the Northern Gwinnett County for pretty much all of my life(besides being at UGA to pursue my atmospheric sciences degree), but since 2014, the best winter event I’ve seen there is February 2020, which is sad considering it was just around 3 hours of wet snow that melted in the afternoon.
Summer is awesome, if there’s one thing that’s good, it’s the summer storms, imo it seems like the last few years have been pretty good for them, I wonder if all these rains earlier in the season/right before mean higher DPs later on in summerCarolina weather sucks. Humid as hell in the summer, cold and muddy in winter. I'd take any other climate
My mother tried telling me that we get one storm every 2 weeks in summer. I highly disagree with that but she was 100000% confident ??Summer is awesome, if there’s one thing that’s good, it’s the summer storms, imo it seems like the last few years have been pretty good for them, I wonder if all these rains earlier in the season/right before mean higher DPs later on in summer
God i hope not. Don't tell me you're one of those who likes high DP's.Summer is awesome, if there’s one thing that’s good, it’s the summer storms, imo it seems like the last few years have been pretty good for them, I wonder if all these rains earlier in the season/right before mean higher DPs later on in summer
I love my days with dews in the low to mid 70s, with temps in the low/mid 90s (steep low level lapse rates) it’s those sort of days that typical get the best cape, so yes I like high DPsGod i hope not. Don't tell me you're one of those who likes high DP's.
Try higher ! 90/78 on repeat bud! Avg dewpoint in Raleigh is higher than CLT in summer as well!I love my days with dews in the low to mid 70s, with temps in the low/mid 90s (steep low level lapse rates) it’s those sort of days that typical get the best cape, so yes I like high DPs
That’s cool and all but I’m near a trigger source with the UHI, the Lee trough, and the sfc trough to the south that brings OFBs up hereTry higher ! 90/78 on repeat bud! Avg dewpoint in Raleigh is higher than CLT in summer as well!
This is something I’ve been meaning to ask, those of y’all that are storm watchers, what’s the best range (miles) to observe from for big structure? Can't wait for summer storm season.
Nothing like seeing a cumulonimbus or anvil cloud from 50+ miles away.
But only people who want freezing rain are bad people!!So it begins

Freezing Weather Expected To Take A Toll On Oklahoma Ranchers, Livestock
The freezing weather could have potentially deadly consequences for Oklahoma ranchers and farmers. Cattle producers are used to working in all weather conditions, but said the extended cold stretch will take a toll on their livestock.www.news9.com
Weather does what it will I can’t control it lol. I’m just saying why I personally dislike this kind of cold .But only people who want freezing rain are bad people!!
I agree, I just get annoyed when people complain about people liking one form of precip that has negative consequences, as if all the weather we like doesn’t cause massive property damage and deaths. It is what it is, it’s not like we control it.Weather does what it will I can’t control it lol. I’m just saying why I personally dislike this kind of cold .
If I lived somewhere like Montana I wouldn’t honestly mind it because it’s common place there . But Texas at 33 north? Oooff. I can’t get behind it lolI agree, I just get annoyed when people complain about people liking one form of precip that has negative consequences, as if all the weather we like doesn’t cause massive property damage and deaths. It is what it is, it’s not like we control it.
Meh summer storms are cool at times but i like dry boring summer weather (lower humidity the better)Summer is awesome, if there’s one thing that’s good, it’s the summer storms, imo it seems like the last few years have been pretty good for them, I wonder if all these rains earlier in the season/right before mean higher DPs later on in summer
