I've been b'ing about the lack of NAO for decades it seems...so what does mother nature do...it shoves it down our throats for 3 months straight, we get no snow, but instead record 33F rain. Oh, the irony...

Never want to see another SSWE...those clearly help everyone else on this planet besides the SE.

Shear on the euro is 100kt+ in northern AL/MS and TN
 
Can you explain this?
Well the last few setups the last couple of years, lapse rates always suck in the low levels/mid levels (5.9 C for example)
if we get both of those around 7C, that increases how unstable things are, increased low level LR = increases wind/tornado threat
Increased mid level LR = increased wind/hail threat
 
Maybe I'll see him out there ? he lives somewhere around TR/Gville in the fall and wintertime
 
And I think you've been below freezing for a few days now if i'm not mistaken. That puts you around ~240 hours of below freezing weather.

I think you could go Ice Skating here soon.
Went below Monday morning and haven’t gone back above since. On the 3rd straight day. Pretty impressive stretch it is.
