There's probably some optimism about if it holds back maybe the wave late next week can be suppressed enough we score. I'm too deflated to care

At this rate, it’s going to be Ass Whippin’ April before the promised delayed storm will actually deliver, and by then it’s going to be too warm to matter!

It really doesn't even matter which ENSO we are in anymore. There's a common belief that EL NINO tend to better for the SE than LA NINA, but that's based on history and not based on recent years. The SE ridge has always a factor no matter what these, even with a EL NINO. I strongly miss the winters of the 70s/80s were the severe cold actually progress east of the Appalachian Mountains and it wasn't that abnormal for the Midlands of SC to get ether a snow event or a ice event. Now days, even areas like Charlotte struggle to get snow or Ice events.
 
Okay ever since the snow troll met put all the snowy models on the 10pm news my snow totals have begun to go down ? it begins...

Realistically based on the icon and gfs we are at square 0. I hoped that maybe we could hold the lobe back phase it with the early next week system bomb it out suppress the pattern and force the cold into the area. This might have given us a chance to slide the trailing wave through without cutting but that looks unlikely at the moment. We may have to go through an entire circuit of crap here to get to the next favorable period which could be around 3/1.
 
Didn’t realize the Diddy Kong threat had trended better, but I don’t think I believe in it still.
