Weren’t we at this very exact time , last Monday , staring down a brutally cold weekend ? Only for it to be a nothing burger by Wednesday ? Just saying lol. How’s that MJO looking ? Tonight’s icon is gonna be real important

I spoke too soon lol, the EURO already slowing down the TPV and delaying it again.

My bud told me fished Shad as far inland as Princeton NC along the Little River. I live right by the little river but much further upstream lol.

Apparently, it makes it to Wake county, however! I live right along the fall line as well so that's promising lol. Still plan on trying the Tar River where you are though just for better luck.

It’s been a challenge to even forecast 2-3 days out lately. On Saturday I had a forecast high in OKC between 45-50 for both Sunday and Monday. Both busted terribly with the high yesterday being in the mid 30s and currently today it’s only 29 right now.
 
Heres what the GFS had for today, exactly 7 days ago. Its currently 52 and sunny.

The rug is being pulled again and no one has pointed it out just yet. One more run like the last and I'm gonna issue a rug pull alert. It's like being on the Titanic after hitting the Icebergs. No one is aware just yet... Look at that High-pressure bounce NW. One more like that and it's a possible trend. Also, this is why I'm posting this in WHAMBY lol. No need for the dislikes. They will all come over here tonight when king icon shows it.

Such a beautiful look for a CAD wedge East of the mountains
 
It's been since 2002 since Raleigh has seen a legit freezing rain event where power was lost, travel was bad. These type of events just don't occur anymore for us...just like we will never see another 10" season much less a 10"+ snowfall. Those days are done. The weather models may paint some pretty pink freezing rain maps but it's not happening here. Now, further west, yeah, it looks rough.
 
Losing the cold air little by little Alabama wont see a flake smh
