My ideal Christmas would be a big dog that starts snowing lightly on the afternoon of the 24th, picks up on that evening, and accumulates nicely overnight with heavy rates. Then on Christmas Day the ground is covered with lingering flight flurries and highs in the 20s

I think I'd pay large sums of money for that

Yeah, the last time I did that was December 2018. I stayed up all night, believe me, the thrill keeps you awake. Then when it stops, I take a long nap.

I stayed up till 4-4:30 tracking that line on Easter Sunday (well technically Monday by then) but that's all I got

Potentially unpopular opinion, I hope we unleash the arctic and it's so cold on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that it's uncomfortable to be outside. Give me 33/9 both days, thanks

More or less, usually. If it starts tapering off to light snow towards the end, I might get some shut eye, but otherwise they’re too rare to miss experiencing here.

And you better believe I’m not getting much sleep the night before the storm after staying up for Dr. No’s prognosis, too, LOL.

Lol, I think many on these boards do. I can't make it. I'm good maybe until 1-2 am and if hasn't started, I've got to go to bed.

I'll make exceptions though if it'll help getting a storm. ?

The same reason why I hate when it is 99 degrees for a high in the summer. I despise heat, but if it's going to be extremely hot, go for the records

I need another day of the tpv coming for us before i begin the long haul up from the base of the cliff, but I am intrigued.

December 2018 I went to sleep at 2am when the power went out. That was right about when it changed to sleet.

That was really a nerve wracking storm to track. The whole time the rain snow line was modeled within 20 miles of me. Never could feel good about that one until it actually happened.
