No blocking, SER will swat any winter threat to our west.
The difference is they are guaranteed to get a lot of snow at some point between now and spring.

It doesn't matter. I spend more time at 70 degrees in the next 2 weeks than all of December! It's kinda of fun watching all of the prognostications blow up. HA Ha ha.

So far all 12Z has given us is a pile of trash. I'm sure the Euro will backpedal all of the snow it gave us last night.

The euro was an extreme outlier and should be tossed. Something closer to ICON/GFS/CMC is the ground truth. Raining, again, because....EL NINO! which as we all know is Spanish for "The Nino"...
Yeah that ridge is trending stronger every run despite the surface maps the past several runs. Won’t work for us. It’s really not even close
That SER has been a thorn in our side for YEARS now. Will it please just go away?!

We need the western ridge to not be as far east or we're just going to get a mess of waves ending up interacting with clippers in Canada. Need those waves to drop in further west and dig to have a chance.
CMC looks like severe storms late next week instead of any wintry wx to me, than drops me to 2 degrees, more like a 2% chance I’m getting snow this winter

If this winter provides no snow to areas like mine, it will only make the case stronger I have that El Nino's are little to no snow winters here. Just a little too warm for success.
Winter Storm Warning just issued for my area. 5 to 8 inches, 1/10" of ice, and 40 mph winds.
It’s ok. So much energy flying around we really won’t know until inside 36hr

I'll skim through but I refuse to make another post in any thread but this one until I see a blocking pattern or legit winter threat inside of 8 days, not D14, not D10, not D8 but inside of 8 days 7 and under..... that falling flat on my back is taking its toll on this 'ol man

We need one of these threads every winter! This has been the most entertaining part of weather watching so far this year!
If we could just convince the powers to be to shut down work, schools and everything with fantasy snow I'm all for it.... better on the electric bill anyway.

Just crushed some Waffle House! 2 eggs scrambled w/ cheese, double hash browns smothered, chicken ,toast and a waffle! It was on point!!
I'm with @Webberweather53 I'm losing my patience with all these little jab posts. What's the point of insulting the ones who are actually doing real meteorological analysis instead of incessant whining which adds zero value to the pattern discussion thread?
