Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

I know who your talking about. I used to keep up with him a lot of the accuweather weather forum.

I haven’t checked or seen anything type of action from the accuweather forum since...... Well, since
you branded me to this website. ????View attachment 10642

It's gone. A shame as it's where I started out, and while I understand the forum closing as it seems like even the people from outside of the SE had left, I would have really loved for the memories to stay on the internet.

I'm kind of disappointed it's off the air completely, as I thought initially they'd keep the forums up with the ability to post just locked, as while I didn't often until December with the thought it could close, I sometimes went back there for the memories.

Don’t want to come as fussing too much....but man it’s been a minute since we’ve had a nice storm roll through Central Louisiana and into Mississippi, then through southern Tennessee and here in Northern Alabama and on into Georgia and then the Carolinas. Ok fine consider it fussing ?

I was also hoping they would permit the forum to stay open (even if it was only for another year or two) as to allow people to read past storm threads. As you stated, there were some good memories from our time on the forum.

That shrinks. It is a shame that they did that. I used to log on their and watch their Mets videos about snows chances.

same out here, be 4 years if we make it to March since we've had a half decent snow here... everyone says this is our year with some supposedly great pattern I still haven't seen verify, but I'm skeptical til I see it falling after missing to the SE many times last year

Alright, here's the deal. The discussion threads have gotten chaotic recently with banter, off topic, one liners, wannabe jokers, etc.

Basically, the moderators don't want to be "jerks" like "other places" that we seem to be accused of lately, so I'll handle it myself.

Keep the off topic banter in here. Only warning. We want people to be able to read the pattern/storm threads and learn something versus sifting through 500 garbage posts in between.

If you hate this place so much or think it's "turning into the other place" then you're free to request an account deletion.

*cross posting this to the current pattern thread also*

16 this morning, so pattern already changed some.... had to break the ice in my goat's water, first time all winter.

Actually 4 of them, Nigerian Dwarf, they are dairy goats. I'm a tie wearing computer jockey pen pushing paper pimp by day and goat farmer by night

My wife used to have some of them also. They are like dogs in the yard. Lol. They was very fun to raise.

TWC forecast finally indicating something. "Areas of freezing rain" Saturday night

My wife loves them.... what began as an attempt to get a couple of goats to clean up some under growth in the woods on my property turned into legit pets with hopefully some return (dairy). With my youngest child being a senior in HS, both of our kids will be in college this fall.... we've been accused of preparing to be empty nest'ers by buying goats. Lol

Yea, I hear you.lol. I still have most of the supplies (stand, trimmer, and etc.) from when we had goats. We officially got out in January of last year. But, there has been quite a few times we have throught about getting some back.
