It is similar to wx in that there appears to be outright hatred for the NE US simply because they get way more snow than the SE...almost as if they took away our snow. I think some of this is due to AmericanwxBB being NE dominated. Silly to me, regardless.

Some here in the deep south likely hate NC/TN only because they get more snow. More silliness.
Some in NC/TN probably hate VA/KY. DC hates NYC. NYC hates Boston. And it goes on and on.
So if you want to be really hated, live at the north pole. No outsider will like you lmao.
 
Since it has no meteorological reasoning, I'll put it here. I hope we get back to that cutter that bombs next week. It seems like the cutter bombing was what ushered in really cold air.

Probably not likely now though, too bad. Seems like we "could" get a pattern like 09/10, 13/14, and 14/15 though soon.
 
Okay, I changed my avatar back to my hot girl and she's rooting for awesome storms to obsess on. Besides that, I'm tired of looking at myself. eww. Sure tired of watching the blowing, cold ass rain in the floodlight, thats like only 2 seconds from being snow, sleet or ice. Done! Bring on some goodness! I need a first HUGE snow in my new house. Thanks Lord....

Mack is perhaps the most lovable troll in the history of SE wx bbs. He's got the magic troll touch I guess. I think because he comes across as cartoonish with his extreme trolling and doesn't seem to be trying to get to anyone personally.

One heck of a snow storm on the 18z GFS from the Central Plains points east for this upcoming weekend. Wish it was us, all we can hope is for a south trend.
 
Speaking of professional wx bb trolls, anyone remember "rainstorm" aka "jxdama"? She (he?) often made me laugh due to being so over the top. RS/jx posted at WWBB and Eastern. She was the anti-weenie troll of trolls. Mack has a bit of rainstorm in his trolling blood.

For me, I personally like humans to be gracious and show humility and be cordial to other humans. Belichick is a cheater and an a hole to boot. Tiger woods sucks. I hate the Tarheels just because. It’s mostly because of their fans and the way they have acted through the years. But I will admit that a lot of fanboys are annoying, no matter who they pull for. I’m sure they would say the same about State fans. Fine. Mike Tyson wasn’t unlikable until he went crazy. I like Roger Federer fine. But back on point, it’s fun to pull for an underdog. There’s something inside that wants to see the unexpected happen. I mean, we pull for snowstorms all winter long against the great SE ridge and +NAO.
 
And I don’t understand why they can’t make a really great Star Wars movie. I mean, it’s really not that hard. But they’re lazy.

Good points. Actually, I've never been a fan of Tiger because of his personality although admittedly I like that he has come back and he is one of the greatest of al time. Back in the day, I was a big Jack Nicklaus fan and liked him much more as a person than Tiger. I also liked Tom Watson a lot among others. I like Federer but my alltime tennis fav is ironically enough, Jimmy Connors, despite his not being classy. He just always seemed to be the ultimate overachieving underdog.

We all should pull for the ultimate underdog, @pcbjr, to get snow.

Obviously I don’t take LR operational runs seriously but it doesn’t make it any less frustrating when it shows a parade of cutters

This is why a few of us are so damn pessimistic. Been following weather boards for 10 years. Kicking the can will certainly take a toll on you but it doesn’t make tracking any less fun

Frustrating for sure. How many times since 2010 have models showed fantasy blocking patterns in the day 12+ only for it not to materialize. We have seen it so many times. Will see in a week or so if this is legit. I hope it is, I want snow.

No doubt we will have some serious cold shots behind fronts. So cold air is around.
 
People wouldn't be so pessimistic if there wasn't so much hype and BS about this winter. Everyone understands the front half of MW was supposed to be ablove average slightly, but being in mid January running ten degrees above average is discouraging when most past El Niño's had bn January's and February's. We just live in different times now. Brad P.'s season forecast has been pretty accurate so far. I would never ever forecast a below normal winter in the southeast if I were a met in this day and age, it just isn't going to happen again for the entire season.

"Zip for DT and me!" She(or he) really knew how to push DT's buttons. I also remember the epic battles between DT and "Meteotrade" at Wright-Weather. Meteotrade accused DT of using "smoke and mirrors" in his weather forecasting. Those were the days!
