Blah blah, we've kept saying that this storm is going to set up the next one. So which storm doesn't set up another one?

It's been stated many times over. A thread is created not because the models may lose it, but because it takes over the January discussion. You can argue we can discuss it for days in that thread, but then it's harder to go back and look at the evolution of the system if it does or does not succeed. It isn't silly, no storm thread should be made for an "event" 7+ days away due to so many variables/uncertainties, and with the chance of it not happening. I know I wouldn't want to start a thread for something that may not happen that's showing on the models 7+ days away. I'm just saying; I'm being realistic here.
7 days might as well be fantasy land. 5 days sounds much more reasonable. It isn't silly, no storm thread should be made for an "event" 7+ days away due to so many variables/uncertainties, and with the chance of it not happening. The bad thing is that a lot of times something even 10 days away takes over the January discussion. Should we also create a thread for something 10+ days away? It's been stated many times over. Then we will be 6 days out then 6 more then 6 more then 6 more then 300The madness is real after these 12Z runs. Good grief people we are 6 days out.
