Did I say winter was over in N GA? Not at all. I just said we aren't getting any more large storms, or storms with 3"+.
Says a flattened out version of climo that is literally the average. I don't care about climo unless it's relevant, and snow in March is only in specific setups. This year's setup favors the end of a chance of flakes by mid February at latest.Things can happen but yeah being up that way, y'all always got a threat of some snow showers even into March.
Falllen to 27/-1 here. It's freaking coldI’m sitting at 22 degrees as of 1:45pm on what is forecast to be the first of 7 straight days of below freezing temps. If this Verifies I believe it would be one of the top 5 longest periods of below freezing temps in the area. As of now Wednesday is the only day that would come close to possibly ending the streak early. On Wednesday the gfs has me at 29 degrees around midday but I’m pretty confident I won’t get above freezing as I’ve been coming in a little colder than what the temps were forecasted to be lately.
That one guy is wrong almost for sure. This thing is NOT going to hit Atlanta, but I'm hoping it might get as far west as I am. Realistically though, CAE is about as far back as it'll get. Possibly back to GSO in NC but not Charlotte. This storm is driving everyone crazy. I don't care what happens, just get to January 5th and let's be done with this. One minute someone says something and the next second we think it will snow everywhere.
I'd love for you to be wrong lolThat one guy is wrong almost for sure. This thing is NOT going to hit Atlanta, but I'm hoping it might get as far west as I am. Realistically though, CAE is about as far back as it'll get. Possibly back to GSO in NC but not Charlotte.
Me too, but I don't think I am. The biggest question now is if this turns out like the 1989-90 winter when we did a complete flip following a big eastern Carolinas snow. I'd love to see that if we are not getting snow. A repeat of February and March of 1990 would be nice.I'd love for you to be wrong lol
It's not going to make it to CAE, Jonesville, or GSPThat one guy is wrong almost for sure. This thing is NOT going to hit Atlanta, but I'm hoping it might get as far west as I am. Realistically though, CAE is about as far back as it'll get. Possibly back to GSO in NC but not Charlotte.
