Mping has sleet reports in Jackson, MS and snow/mix up in the north MS cities.
Might be the last time I look at the euro
It's ever so slowly ticking that fgen finger SW toward the main precip shield that tells me its probably going to back down some on the WAA push but how much?

Where do you see those percentages? Because FFC has been putting out “expected ice accumulation” around 0.25” for a large area

32.2 now, dewpoint is 17. Wet bulb is 27.5. Pretty dry down here at the surface.

The dry wedge on some of the models up my way gives me pause. Seems like the last time I saw something like this, it ended up worse than it was modeled. Weird system. O hope 00z gets things in sync.

Trends have been better for the south metro. Hoping most of them can get a quick inch on the front end. Atlanta might be snow deprived, but the south metro is REALLY snow deprived. As in 2014 since anything decent.

Before I scroll any further. Be careful using precipitation depiction as it can be very wrong. Make sure mping reports are turned on and use reflectivity and correlation coefficient to see sleet/ice line.

Thought I read some comments about qpf drying up but latest NWS NBM has increased qpf and now has a nice swath of .5 across NC.

I saw a met in Macon saying that he was expecting extensive evaporated cooling tomorrow in Georgia. Is that a possibility with this system?

It's dropping pretty fast here in Madison. It was 36 at 6pm and my weather station says it's 33.4 now. Dewpoint has gone from 13.0 to 19.0 in that span, too.

HRRR has us at 36 at 8 PM and it’s currently 30 observed at my house in LaGrange, GA. It has been consistently colder than the models, but that is a big swing.

Yes this will occur. Dew points are in the single digits/low teens right now, so it will take a bit of precipitation falling to moisten the atmosphere enough for it to hit the ground.
