Hrrr hammers northern Alabama and Georgia
If I had somewhere to go in Grant, I would!I figured you'd come up this way.
Is it rain in ATL?I see grits projection of bad trends at night has begun, looks like HRRR is warmer
So at what point do we just say NAM is smoking crack? Short range models are painting a pretty picture for our area.

HRRR shooting us up to 40-45 tomorrow after a fully clear night with clouds rolling in around sun up is a choice i supposeI see grits projection of bad trends at night has begun, looks like HRRR is warmer
That won’t happen. Always 5 degrees too warm. Did it to me in the last storm. Said it was going to be 40 and never got over 36HRRR shooting us up to 40-45 tomorrow after a fully clear night and rolling the clouds in around sun up is a choice i suppose
Granted, but it is supported by big hitters GFS and Euro. I couldn't think of a better duo in my corner. That’s the HRRR

Going to concord tmrw to visit in-laws.
It happens in every storm.I seriously don’t understand the 12 hours of good trends and then 12 hours of bad trends cycle we are in. Never have seen it do that in storms before, almost laughable at this point.
Looks like the Canadian map a few days agoHoly cow. NAM hammers GA and SC with zr.View attachment 162046
It’s winter weather forecasting in the south. It’s guaranteed to waffle back and forthI seriously don’t understand the 12 hours of good trends and then 12 hours of bad trends cycle we are in. Never have seen it do that in storms before, almost laughable at this point.
The overall trend
today amongst guidance not named the HRRR (HRRR begins too warm and
too moist Friday given lack of airmass modification expected in the
surface high) has been towards a slightly colder & wetter solution.
That area over us that was dry (between the heavier QPF in GA/SC and off the NC coast) has been slowly filling in with .5+ QPFI remember when people were concerned about the qpf maps around hereView attachment 162059
View attachment 162061View attachment 162062The HRRR and RGEM are almost identical placement wise, just the RGEM a little colder and the HRRR has snow further north
Morganton, NC checking in at 26/16. It's snow time!
