It did. Decent snow just south and east of me all day. Never could get here. I came in with 15 flakes.

Looks like we might be about to get another blob of heavy snow through MBY if radar can be trusted. The back edge is racing east, though. Figure 60-90 minutes left unless some back building happens, although OBS from west of Burlington still indicates some snow, radar be damned. I’d assume it’s the non-accumulating variety, though, so basically mood flakes.

This is definitely 0.5-1"/hr rate now in Wendell. Huge flakes that's just pouring down. Visibility decreasing. Probably around 0.5 mi if I have to guess, which is solidly moderate.

I’m aware just relaying what the NWS is saying. They opted to do a widespread winter weather advisory for up to 2” of snow until 1pm tomorrow. Better for the public to receive advanced warning.

I don’t think it’s helpful to the public thinking the “bust” is over with a decaying advisory about to expire. It’s likely there will be more than one location that gets a quick inch with already frozen surfaces and temperatures in the mid to upper 20’s. I don’t know of anyone that even knows about these streamers that may or may not come in tomorrow.

The sleet is moving east rather quickly which means the snow will very quickly dominate once again along the VA/NC border. The plume near Ahoskie is moving east very quickly. Sleet may only last 5-10 minutes before heavy snow returns.

It is, or atleast its heavily mixed, I hit it around Hobgood and pretty much all IP back to Tarboro, wasn’t till I got almost home did it change back to all SN, and now we’re are starting to mix at the house.

Not having to sweat any mixing for an entire event right in the middle of Raleigh is absurd. It’s just been pure snow the whole event (even when WRAL 2 miles to my south had some brief pingers, never had that here).
