Wintry Feb. 19-20

Back and forth between Sleet and Snow in Garner, it had been sleet for a while but we just switched back to big flakes. If we could keep up the heavy snow for any decent length of time we might get decent totals but I would call it a dusting with a covering of sleet so far.
Damn, that’s rough. Wake County snow gradient is truly undefeated, though you may have a shot at turning it back to heavy snow and outperforming the rest of the metro as the coastal spools up.

Half an inch yet again in Chatham. Back to flurries and back edge now east of Greensboro so another hour or so to try and make an inch.
Were you sleeting down there? Really surprised as I don’t think you’re too far from me as the crow flies, although that sleet line really isn’t that far away from any of us.

No sleet at all IMBY at least. Just very light snow. I drove up to Cole Park Plaza and county line and can tell Orange County did a little better than me. The closer I got the more snow was on the surfaces.

youre close to the durham/CH line near 15-501, right? as i mentioned last night, i had a feeling Chatham side of CH would get significantly less than where you're at - and I think I probably have a bit more than you (im guessing im past 2.5 inches now but going to go out and measure/snow walk soon!), so the cut offs are definitely pronounced
