March is always a roller coaster. Enjoy the ride!
Coming in like a lion perhaps…?March is always a roller coaster. Enjoy the ride!
Amazing because that was a really nice stretch for other parts of the south. I think there was a snowstorm around Christmas in 1989 and also a big snowstorm in January 1992.That 89-93 stretch was brutal![]()
I honestly did not realize that GSO and RDU had no measurable snow during that period. It was a very rough stretch for CLT as well, but there were two or three times that the airport recorded .3” and .4” over those few yearsThat 89-93 stretch was brutal![]()
Record watch next winter…wonder if we can place bets somewhere. I’m selling a vital organ to put on a new record gettig set.
That 1992 storm was an I-20 special all the way from Jackson miss to Columbia SC. The Christmas storm was I-95 and east along with I-10 and south of there. Orlando Fla had a few flakes of snow with the 1989 event.Amazing because that was a really nice stretch for other parts of the south. That January 1992 storm was painful to watch miss the CLT area to the south. Especially when the watching the live reports from northern AL and GA.That 1992 storm was an I-20 special all the way from Jackson miss to Columbia SC. I really try to stay optimistic but sometimes you just have to punt. View attachment 146787

I’ll be down that way in late April. Going to Key west for a few days. Can’t wait!! That whole drive from Miami through the Keys is beautiful!54F here at 10:30pm. Freaking cold lol. Been a good Feb down here in satans armpit.
Late April/early May generally has great beach weather here. Mostly highs in the low 80’s and sunny.I’ll be down that way in late April. Going to Key west for a few days. Can’t wait!! That whole drive from Miami through the Keys is beautiful!
its still like 900% Humidity I was there in April of 2021 in Key WestLate April/early May generally has great beach weather here. Mostly highs in the low 80’s and sunny.
The humidity down in there just feels different… more tolerable. Probably because there’s always a nice sea breeze.its still like 900% Humidity I was there in April of 2021 in Key West
April usually isn’t that bad here. Maybe you got unlucky. Though Key West is worse than here obviously. Our April averages are 79.6/69.8 with an average dewpoint of 64F.its still like 900% Humidity I was there in April of 2021 in Key West
am i the only one who enjoys summer for what it is lmaoOnly 6 months till Met Fall arrives. 9 till Met winter. Days start getting shorter in about 112 days.
Hard to beleive but the sun angle right now is what it is last week of October. Day was shorter when you where passing out that Halloween candy. The 6 months of good weather has just about passed us by. Joy.....
June I like but July/Aug are the 2 most miserable months of our weather. But to be fair...the other 10 months of the year are really good, even in winters like this.am i the only one who enjoys summer for what it is lmao
I really don’t care for July although I enjoy the 4th of July holiday. The rest of the month is rather boring unless there’s a nice thunderstorm. At least in August the tropics are usually more active.June I like but July/Aug are the 2 most miserable months of our weather. I absolutely LOVE summer even with the heat and humidity. I mainly like the summer weather due to the chance of thunderstorms it helps create. Honestly, I like a good afternoon thunderstorm versus any other type of weather.am i the only one who enjoys summer for what it is lmao
Yeah… I really enjoy June and July myself because I enjoy the beach and swimming weather… when we’re supposed to have it. In August though, I’m normally ready for that first good cool front to come through and knock the dewpoints down some.June I like but July/Aug are the 2 most miserable months of our weather. The older I get the less I can tolerate the heat. If it weren't for the stuffiness, the overbearing humidity, the constant sweating, the endless bugs, the allergies, the weeds, the vines, the stretching of all this earlier and later in the year, and inability for even nights to cool off I wouldn't mind the summer! Honestly if I could, I would just put Sept -March weather on repeat. Sept is plenty of heat for me and I know it's on the way out and the days are getting shorter.am i the only one who enjoys summer for what it is lmao
Summer in the south is garbage unless you're sitting on a beach with a sea breeze. When mid 80's with dews in the mid 60's are considered relief or a "cooler" summer, you know it's trash. Perfect summer weather if possible is 65-70 around here with no humidity and 75-80 in you're on the beach.am i the only one who enjoys summer for what it is lmao
Bring me all he heat n humidity. I love itam i the only one who enjoys summer for what it is lmao
Oh please. Summers in Easley are much nicer than Columbia. The older I get the less I can tolerate the heat. Lol at much nicer. Just because the upstate is in the low 90's with the same humidity vs being in the mid to upper 90's doesn't make it nicer. 90 degree weather is trash on any spectrumOh please. Summers in Easley are much nicer than Columbia.
