Doesn't mean exploratory surgery is the way to go.I mean that's what we are currently doing with the natural carbon cycle by releasing all this CO2 the earth had tucked away.....

Infrastructure can't handle more ac but ev are not a problem?![]()
A ev uses more power in a day than ac does in a week. They are pushing to replace all ice cars with ev so I'm sure the earth will cool enough to not need ac ?There's way more A/C units than EVs.

Well if you upgrade the grid to add capacity it will take care of both issues.

This is good info, and a good point!Fyi, having looked at it very meticulously myself over the last several years, Greensboro's "official" snowfall record is not very reliable prior to about the 1940s. There are lots of missing snowstorms in the early part of the record that make those early decade totals look low. You check places like RDU, ILM, CAE, CLT, ATL, etc. the downward trend is obvious & undeniable. Not to mention, the way snow is measured today w/ a snowboard usually biases today's measurements (outside of the occasional very large storm) higher than they used to be when it was mostly voluntary COOP observers measuring snow depth (which is always going to be lower than a snowboard due to compaction, sublimation, melting, more infrequent reporting, etc.). Also, another thing to keep in mind, is that where snow was actually measured in GSO (airport near Kernersville west of downtown now) vs near downtown prior to about 1948, also biases today's totals a tick higher in addition to the aforementioned low bias attributable to missing storms in the record. Same can be said for Raleigh's official snowfall record too, which moved from central Wake Co to NW Wake Co/near Morrisville after 1947.
That makes an argument that global warming is welcome and needed.![]()
Before global warming, was the Earth cooling down or heating up?
Accurate climate models play a critical role in climate science and policy, helping to inform policy- and decision-makers throughout the world as they consider ways to slow the deadly effects of a warming planet and to adapt to changes already in progress.phys-org.cdn.ampproject.org

I’m tired of the earth warming, I want it cooler, and I think we’ve spent enough money on it now we should start seeing some cooler trends as the incoming years approach. Also saving our seashores.
Then maybe that’s what needs to take place. Not sure what the ideal temps should be, so maybe let’s focus on that first and then find a way to get it there.Well guess what? If you want to terraform the planet to make it cooler you would have to remove huge amounts of CO2.

One country has done all the spending lol, which isn't going to change one thing. That makes an argument that global warming is welcome and needed.

Lol, whatever cooler air we make the jet stream will just send it elsewhereOne country has done all the spending lol, which isn't going to change one thing.
I have hope for future winters as we are finally pouring money and resources into combatting global warming, and it’s just a matter of time before our efforts result in a more normal winter for us.A big fat F. And no it’s not snowing in march either. And I’ll go ahead and save some time and rate next winter an F as well.
What are we pouring money into that might actually help. Im not being a smart a$$ but am actually curious.I have hope for future winters as we are finally pouring money and resources into combatting global warming, and it’s just a matter of time before our efforts result in a more normal winter for us.
Reducing emissions, EV’s, renewable energy, reliance on fossil fuel. It’s all going to cash in one day. The future looks good. What are we pouring money into that might actually help. Im not being a smart a$$ but am actually curious.
Lol. That’s the bs dream they sell youReducing emissions, EV’s, renewable energy, reliance on fossil fuel. It’s all going to cash in one day. The future looks good.
Maybe we can’t reverse it, but we have to try for our next generation.Lol. That’s the bs dream they sell you

Man is only responsible for like 5% of co2. Majority 85-90% comes from oceans.I don't. We'd have to pull enormous amounts of CO2 out of the atmosphere on a gargantuan scale to have any effect or wait thousands of year for it to happen naturally.

Our grandparents weren’t dealing with global warming. Still good advice though, even if you can get an earlier start. No doubt we will have at least 1 more 1-2 night hard freeze between now and the end of April round my way. Happens every year. One reason why my grandpa taught me don't even think about planting the Garden until at least the end of April.
I had a frost on Mother’s Day within the past few years. Even my 70 year old mother couldn’t remember one that late. I agree the earth is warming but let’s not get carried away. Our grandparents weren’t dealing with global warming. Still good advice though, even if you can get an earlier start.
Nevertheless, we had a couple freezes in late April here a couple years back (setting a couple record lows, actually). Our grandparents weren’t dealing with global warming. Still good advice though, even if you can get an earlier start.
Yes it killed my lantanas.Nevertheless, we had a couple freeze in late April here a couple years back (setting a couple record lows, actually).
Crazy how variable it can be from year to year. I want to say in 2020 our last freeze was in early March, and then in 2021 it was April 20-something.Yes it killed my lantanas.
So true, I just hate waiting so late and missing all of the busy bees doing their work. If I plant too late, my tomato clusters don’t perform as well.Crazy how variable it can be from year to year. I want to say in 2020 our last freeze was in early March, and then in 2021 it was April 20-something.

Nothing has been "seen" 800,000 years ago, so this is a really stupid claim. In fact, nothing has been reliably observed even 500 years ago and certainly nothing at the current level of detail has been observed in the last 100 years. We know very little about Earth's climate history.![]()
How do human CO2 emissions compare to natural CO2 emissions?
<p>The CO2 that nature emits (from the ocean and vegetation) is balanced by natural absorptions (again by the ocean and vegetation). Therefore human emissions upset the natural balance, rising CO2 to levels not seen in at least 800,000 years. In fact, human emit 26 gigatonnes of CO2 per year...skepticalscience.com

Spent a lot of money on Covid vaccines as well and …. Sorry wrong thread. We’ve deposited a lot of money into global warming research. The science should be getting better, along with the earth’s thermal profile.
Love it!!!Spent a lot of money on Covid vaccines as well and …. Sorry wrong thread.

Here's why downpour in Florida just wouldn't stop
In some ways, it was the Florida Man of storms – not quite knowing when to say when. The end result was more than 25 inches (63.5 centimeters) of rain drenching and flooding Fort Lauderdale in six to eight hours. While it could happen in other places in coastal America, Florida has the right...news.yahoo.com
