48 mph wind gust at the Airport! Wow!!! That is a hell of a front!
Freaking awesome to be standing outside and legitimately feel the air get colder in the span of about 10 minutes

I’m at a hotel in downtown Rome, GA for work and just got woken up by the wind when the front passed. Temp down to 34 and plummeting. This wind is insane.

Went outside for about 5-6 mins in long sleeve t-shirt and knit pajama pants. Had to feel and breathe in some of that Good Siberian air and -9 wind chill. Got to enjoy our little north west flow shower also. Tiny little crystallized flakes that looked like glitter blowing through the air and over the road surface. It was glorious.

Just lost power, but it came back quickly. Just the start, I expect, with these winds.

Remember, it’s just a clipper. So unless in Tennessee, it’s not going to work out for anything much…..for now.
Wind noticeably picking up here. Temp actually trickled up to 47-48F, front just starting to leak into SC
Got a no radar returns snow report near Marietta
Rah NWS considering high wind warning based off upstream reports and strengthening LLJ leeside of Apps, plus mentioned possibility of a brief changeover. Even mentioned possible coating in N. Piedmont areas, fun morning ahead
Looks like Clemson and points west have started to drop. Low 40s around there to upper 30s near the GA line

What’s wild to me is I’m still 60-70mi east of where I’d say the brunt of the cold is, and gusts have touched 40
