It’ll be hard to beat last Valentines Day here in Nashville. We had freezing rain, over an inch of sleet followed by about 4 inches of snow.
that's pitiful lolUpdate through 222

Yes, but improvement from 12Z. Potential for much more.that's pitiful lol
If anyone knows anything about winter storms down here they usually aren’t going to be shown on every ensemble this far out .. that’s why looking at individual members isn’t helpful In determining whether we have a legit threat.. all players are on the field and now we slowly try to mold them into our storm as we get closer .. still plenty of time for this onethat's pitiful lol

It’s true, we have been 50 miles from 3+ inches and have gotten nothing 3 times this year, that will drive you nuts.I think this time period is very interesting....with the exception of the 6z gfs where the southern stream was extremely supressed....the last couple of days has been close to something big for north Miss, Al, Ga .....we are due?
I believe south Miss, Al and south Ga is long overdue as well areas south of I-20 definitely deserves something a bit moreI think this time period is very interesting....with the exception of the 6z gfs where the southern stream was extremely supressed....the last couple of days of gfs runs has been close to something big for north Miss, Al, Ga ..... 500 mb looks good on 12z Canadian,, we are due?
How can one be due for that in that part of the country? That’s like saying charlotte is due for another Hugo or an EF-5I believe south Miss, Al and south Ga is long overdue as well areas south of I-20 definitely deserves something a bit more
This be more likely I 40 storm to perhaps tip I 20 regionHow can one be due for that in that part of the country? That’s like saying charlotte is due for another Hugo or an EF-5

So when was the last time areas from Jackson ms to Columbus ga had a decent snow storm I’ll wait? That part of the country deserves to see something compared to your area which I’m sure has seen something this year.. and don’t forget it’s people in that General area that are snow lovers tooHow can one be due for that in that part of the country? I mean, I don’t actively hope they don’t get snow. However, saying a region “deserves” something that is so wildly outside of their climo is just foreign to me. I mean, is Chicago due to be visited by a hurricane? So when was the last time areas from Jackson ms to Columbus ga had a decent snow storm I’ll wait? There’s places in the Carolinas with climo as bad as Jackson miss… and they aren’t in the I-20 corridor . Wilmy averages .9 lol. Yet no one seems to say it’s far fetched for them to get snow .As a very deep south guy, I agree with your sentiments (though I never expect any in any one season based on climo). So, thank you. And I can't even find good Columbus, GA records for some reason. But Jackson, MS, actually had an ~2" storm last Feb., and 3.2" for the 2020-2021 season, which beats their annual climo mean of 1.1".

But nice and chilly overall with still another Arctic high coming down.GFS looks dry as a bone through Valentine’s Day.
Actually a 3 or 4 inch snow has occurred with some regularity during my life time. This has been the longest drought I can recall down here and I've been here since 81. The 80's and 90' were much better. I get dustings up to an inch is all since 05, but I've seen just short of 10 inches on several occasions...but not recently, or recently doubled..so it seems, lol.I mean, I don’t actively hope they don’t get snow. Expect Col did ok during the Macon storm. And the second Ull put 8 melting inches on me, and Columbus would have been in on that.As a very deep south guy, I agree with your sentiments (though I never expect any in any one season based on climo). I think that's a good look that far out.Canadian.. Potential is there.
